Readers have criticised her advice for expectant mothers, which is almost entirely based on personal stories or opinions.
Most controversial is her stance on vaccines, which is not backed by any scientific support.
In the book, Alicia writes: 'While there has not been a conclusive study of the negative effects of such a rigorous one-size-fits-all, shoot-’em-up schedule, there is increasing anecdotal evidence from doctors who have gotten distressed phone calls from parents claiming their child was ‘never the same’ after receiving a vaccine.

In the recently released book, she goes on to claim that tampons can make women infertile.
The Clueless star penned: 'Unfortunately, feminine-care manufacturers aren’t required to tell you what’s in their products, which means that no one’s talking about the potential pesticide residues from non-organic cotton and the ‘fragrances’ containing hormone-upsetting, fertility-knocking phthalates that are snuggling up to your hoo-ha.'
She also claimed that a woman's 'chichi is the most absorbent part' of her body.
Other claims the star has made are that a vegan diet helps prevent pospartum depression, her son was potty trained at six months, and new moms should eat their placenta.
Many readers of the book have expressed their distaste for the book.
One outspoken customer reviewer on Amazon wrote: 'So, you're a celebrity who just a book deal. Is it time to do research? Nah, just blather whatever new age nonsense pops into your head and cash those checks. Congrats! You're a moron.'
