A 51-year-old woman has given birth to her twin granddaughters in Goiânia, Brazil.
Housewife Maria da Gloria, agreed to be a surrogate mother for her daughter Fernanda as a 'gift' because she was unable to carry children.
She had a Caesearean on Monday four weeks early and gave birth to two healthy girls, called Emmanuel and Julia in Setor Aeroporto, Goiânia.

'I couldn't be happier,' Fernanda Medeiros, 34, told Portuguese news website G1.globo.com.
Mrs Da Gloria, already a mother of three, had to take hormones to restart her menstrual cycle and also slimmed down by 1st 7lbs. She travelled from her home town of Santa Helena de Goias to Goiania for the birth.
Fernanda is now undergoing a treatment to encourage her to lactate as she hopes to breastfeed to help her bond with her daughters.
The government worker was told she could not have children at the age of 13, after her uterus was removed due to a health issue.
'At the time, it was so sad because I had always wanted to be a mother,' she told G1.
She married at 20 and said she then tried to adopt a child but was turned down. In 2005 she saw a TV programme about a grandmother who gave birth to her grandson. She visited a doctor with her mother who told them it would be too risky due to Mrs Da Gloria's age.
However, they went back six years later where tests revealed Mrs Da Gloria was healthy enough to carry a child. The first round of IVF failed, but she was successfully impregnated with two embryos during the second round of IVF.
